The Company behind Moonstar have been producing practical All Weather and functional footwear in the Kurume district of Kyusyu, Japan since 1873.
All shoes are hand crafted, from the cutting, stitching and finally onto the firing in a kiln ( Vulcanisation ) where the hand moulded rubber sole adheres to the canvas.
This process this is done in very few factories around the world, this makes the shoes durable, allowing the flexible sole and body the shoe maintain its shape.
